Sun, 20 May 2012 21:44:04 -0500WeeblyThu, 13 Jan 2011 07:13:22 -0500http://reposun.com/1/post/2011/01/first-post.html     There are a lot of ads for used tanning beds, booths and other equipment on the internet today.  Some of these are honest tanning salon owners who just want to sell the equipment to upgrade.  In this case you need to keep in mind that the reason they are selling is the equipment is OLD and comercially used.  Most of the time the beds are damaged but still work.  Moving them is on you and since they have not moved in years you can expect more damage when you move them.  We have also noticed that salon owners sell equipment because they can no longer find parts.  The beds and booths are outdated.

     WARNING: In some cases the salon owner attempts to sell you a bed or booth they do not own.  When we repo or recover a tanning unit we do so because of a legal lien.  This means the salon owner has either leased or financed the equipment.  They try to sell the equipment before a company like us comes and takes it away for the legal owner.  BUYER BEWARE .... if you buy a bed or booth that has a lien you may still be charged with receiving stolen merchandise.  Protect yourself and run the serial number before you buy.  Get a receipt from the seller that states the unit is "free and clear from all liens or judgements". Always ask "why are you selling this".  Ask if they will give you a warranty on parts too.

     Our company only recovers units after we get the court order or judgment.  We never resell any units that are not working or damaged beyond use.  We test them and clean them before they leave our warehouse.  We allow all customers to come in or send someone to the warehouse to inspect anything they are interested in.  We ask all customers to do thier due dilligence to make sure you are getting the best deal at the lowest price.  In most cases the finance companies are taking a HUGE LOSS. They usually sell the equipment for 50% less then what is still owed on them.  That works out to about 10-12% of new.  They do this to avoid paying storage fees and to get new equipment in the warehouse.  We are on your side.  We make our money on the recovery.  We only get 10% of the resale in most cases.
